Welcome to The LMC Group. We are a locally based boutique service providing professional and personalised disability support and consultation.

We offer ongoing guidance and practical hands on assistance for people with disabilities and their support network to have active, meaningful and valued roles in welcoming communities.

Our primary focus is to work one person at a time, and help you to grow, connect and contribute.

We offer 1:1 mentoring and assistance with planning, facilitation, practical support, community connection and advocacy. Our approach is flexible, personalised and holistic.

We believe you have great potential to achieve and should feel genuine connections and a sense of belonging in the community.

We want to help you realise this.

“We were becoming deeply concerned by the number of people with disabilities who were not reaching their full potential or achieving their real dreams. The establishment of the LMC Group is our response”

Lauren Mandel, Founder and Managing Director of the LMC Group

Testimonials

"We started our journey with The LMC Group back in late 2018 when Harvey was about to transition into NDIS.  It was so important for us to find someone who could support us to chisel a fantastic life for Harvey.  We really wanted to move away from a 5 day service provider, build on Harvey’s strengths and interests and search for valued social roles. Eighteen months down the track Harvey now has a job as well as work experience; is developing his own business; and has found a new love in Zumba.  Thanks Lauren for having the same vision and belief as us.  We enjoy the weekly contact, appreciate all your hard work and love reading your monthly progress reports to remind us how far Harvey has come."

"Thanks so much to LMC for their support to our son and our family over the last few years. They combine professionalism with enthusiasm, warmth and sensitivity and a willingness to work on goals collaboratively. Despite our son moving overseas and now back temporarily in Melbourne due to Covid 19, they have been happy to work within those constraints to help him achieve great outcomes."

"I first met Lauren in 2016. We had just launched a work experience program supporting people with a disability through the City of Stonnington Council and needed to work with have organisations who had local individuals who would enjoy and benefit from gaining a work experience opportunity. From the moment we first worked with Lauren the traits I noticed were passion, commitment, genuine care and professionalism. We have since placed 6 candidates though Lauren and her team and would highly recommend her services to anyone seeking an agency of people who really care about their clients."

I was amazed to see what the LMC Group mentees were doing with their lives as everyone was involved in doing things that was of interest to them, where they can use their natural strengths and talents. Lauren and her team of Consultants/Mentors work tirelessly with each person to help them achieve the good things that they want - be it finding a job in their area of interest, starting a business in something they are passionate about, or moving out to live independently."

“The National Theatre Melbourne has been very pleased to be able to work with Lauren and the LMC Group to support one of their mentees, to achieve their aim of working in their ‘dream job’ , in live theatre.  It has been wonderful to see this amazing young woman grow into her role as an usher within our front of house team. Almost a year on from when we initially commended training with this indiviudal, it is wonderful to see her achieve her aims and become a valued member of our team. LMC have been brilliant to work with throughout this process and the journey has been very rewarding for all at the National Theatre Melbourne.”

"Our son was with the NDIS, we were self managed but we had no one to guide us.  We didn’t feel we were getting anywhere.  Our son was miserable in his part time job and was getting more and more discouraged. We took the big step of asking the LMC Group to guide and help us. Through their skills and persistence, they secured our son a much better job and he is so much happier. Everything has flowed on from this; he is more confident, organised and happier. The LMC Group treat their clients with respect and dignity and with the aim of their clients becoming as independent and as in control of their lives as possible. We have seen our son blossom and thoroughly recommend them."

"I enjoy having fun with the girls at LMC. They have supported me in building routines, moving out of home, working in my jobs and finding cool people to hang out with. Every Monday I have planning sessions with my mentor. I find these sessions really fun because we get to talk about important things and plan my days. I feel like I have control over my plans and the people I spend time with, which is great. The girls at LMC also help me find housemates to live with, which is fantastic and awesome. The girls I have lived with so far have been really cool and Lauren helps to make sure we are all happy in the home. LMC have supported me in setting up a dog walking business. I love walking and dogs, which makes the business the best one ever. Hopefully we can do more in the future."
