We assist individuals to explore their careers in two ways:
Customised employment.
This is based on the premise that everyone can, and should have the opportunity to hold valued and meaningful work roles within typical workplace settings, amongst co-workers and being fairly renumerated for their time.
The LMC Group specialises in helping people with a disability through the various phases of Customised Employment.
Phase 1: Discovery Process- Getting to know you in your ideal working conditions. We’ll spend time enquiring about you and your preferences, interests, strengths and abilities. We’ll visit you in your home, learning from you and your nearest and dearest, as well as making observations of your neighbourhood and community connections.
Phase 2: Understanding your Career- We want to start to build a sense of the best career pathway for you to take. We’ll brainstorm different settings that suit your optimal work skills and environments, and support you to network, and trial different roles.
Phase 3: Job Development and Career Support- We’ll provide ongoing support to you and your potential employer-negotiating and carving tasks that suit you, and provide benefits to the workplace. Ongoing monitoring, reflection and planning to ensure you can continue to learn and thrive.
We are delighted to have been involved in helping people to gain, maintain and grow careers at these workplaces, and within these roles.
